President Director of PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta), Antonius NS Kosasih supports a strategy taken by Jakarta Transportation Department to impound three Transjakarta buses due to expired vehicle road worthy certificate (KIR) test period.

Kosasih acknowledged that his side has always coordinated with Transportation Department to check operating fleet completeness and condition.

“We do support to impound Transjakarta fleet if the operator or self-management don’t comply the rule,” he said, Tuesday (10/20).
He admitted that his side is always checking the expired KIR period against the Tranjakarta fleet and ban it to operate.
“It seems unoptimal due to lack of personnel. We apologize for it,” he expressed.
He added that his side is currently recruiting 100 fleet technical officers to check Transjakarta fleet in respective operator pools.
